Main ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 pieces hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the hoagie rolls on a baking sheet, and fill each with the ground beef and onion mixture.
  • Top each filled hoagie with 2 slices of provolone cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are toasted.

Serving

  • Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks with your favorite sides like crispy French fries, potato chips, or a fresh side salad.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Consider caramelizing onions slowly for a richer taste. You may also add more toppings such as sautéed bell peppers or mushrooms for added flavor.
