  • 4 pieces hoagie rolls
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preparation

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced onions and sauté them until they are soft and translucent.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef, seasoning it with salt and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the shredded cheese, mixing until melted and creamy.
  • If desired, toast the hoagie rolls for a minute to get that delightful crunch.
  • Fill each hoagie roll with the beef and cheese mixture.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For reheating, place the sandwiches in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes to maintain the crispiness of the rolls. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses or add favorite seasonings!
