  • 1/2 cup beef broth Or water, for moisture
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch For thickening the sauce

Instructions

Preparation

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add 1 lb of ground beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spoon until browned.
  • If there's excess fat, drain it from the skillet.

  • If you want a thicker sauce, mix 1 teaspoon of cornstarch with a bit of water and add it to the mixture.
  • Let everything simmer for 5-7 minutes until the broccoli is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and 1 teaspoon of grated ginger (if you like).
  • Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or more soy sauce or sugar.

Serving

  • Serve the ground beef and broccoli over cooked rice or quinoa.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions if desired.
