  • 1 lb ground beef Ensure excess fat is drained
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups French fries Fresh or frozen both work
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with pepper jack for spice
  • 1 cup ketchup Can substitute with barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup pickles, diced Adds a tangy crunch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion until the beef is fully cooked. Don't forget to drain any excess fat!

Assembly

  • In a large baking dish, layer the cooked beef mixture, followed by French fries, ketchup, pickles, and cheese.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until everything is heated through and the cheese has melted.
  • Allow it to cool slightly before serving.

Notes
